As Beck got older, he seemed to love Goodnight Moon because he could remember it and anticipate the story before he really knew words. Of course, watching him love the book made us love it, even though it’s very simple with no characters, story, or verve. It’s the reaction that’s charming instead of the book, I think.

We don’t own a copy of Goodnight Moon and never have… no particular reason, though. I should scour Goodwill for a copy and start reading it to Violet & Gabriel.
